Common Sense, Uncommonly Presented™
You have found a strategic copywriter building on long, broad experience with digital content and traditional media. Copywriting has always been a strategic tool to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and increase sales. But lately, a lot of newcomers – while many are good writers – have a very narrow view of how the craft relates to Marketing and what it can achieve. I bring you the benefits of perspective, and a wide range of capabilities.
I'll help develop and execute marketing strategies that achieve specific business objectives, connect with target audiences in a personal way, and deliver measurable results.
By rapidly absorbing input, gleaning strategic clues, and seeking out details, I'll help you develop and hone a strategy for clear, efficient marketing communication and better results. Give me the ball and I'll run with it, or let's take things in stages, working together. Teamwork works both ways.
I give equal attention to usability (UX) and crafting an intriguing story. But whatever the product, whatever the project, I'll see it in broad perspective. Even when the task is simple and predefined, I fit the assignment neatly into the big picture.
I myself fit in, too, having worked for and with companies large and small, on-staff and freelance. From the wide view to the smallest detail, putting me on your team is itself a good strategy.
Please get in touch and tell me about your company or organization, your goals, and your current needs. Even your dream, which may be most important of all.
(Email for a social club)
What's better than a great subject line? A great subject. This club
is collaborative, diverse and fun. Getting that across at a glance took a fresh creative strategy. This email's open
rate was 48% above the norm, and the club got more than enough volunteers.

(Ad series for corporate jet)
This ad grew naturally out of mailer copy I wrote. Our series of mailers brought a 40% response
from CEOs and Chief Pilots. The well-defined strategy targeted a varied high-value audience, using plain language
and benefits that everyone can relate to.

(Effie Award-winning campaign) I've judged awards, and won some, but results are what's important.
This classic campaign got great results, and won an Effie for its effectiveness.
The strategy was surprisingly simple: Show that customers can get our better food faster than expected.

(Industrial securing systems)
This ad grew out of a pitch by one
of my clients. I contributed the concept and headline, but never saw
what was presented. I later developed it to my own specifications, shown here.

(Medical collections B2B brochure)
Patients shouldn't
shy away from their doctor just because the bill is due. Writing this B-to-B brochure in a conversational tone,
I devised the line "a comfortable debt-side manner" to convey this bill collector's non-threatening approach. Competitors
later said that this marketer had the best collateral in the category.

(Tutorial series)
Some time ago, I pulled together a bunch of unproduced ads. That turned into
a sort of tutorial section about strategic and conceptual development, with a bit of user-testing insight, at Rensch.com.

(Popular fashion) E.G. Smith was a long established brand of casual and fun socks and tights.
I built its flagship site, administered it, wrote and edited the copy, and assisted in related marketing.
The creative strategy was to make the graphics and copy un-flashy,
in keeping with the brand personality and an extension of the packaging style.

(Mutual funds) Sometimes a bit of inquiry can greatly expand your creative strategy. This ad was originally to be a 2-page
spread with a flat-color BRC. I asked how much more it would cost to make the reply card a full-sized page. The answer: virtually the same price.
So we wound up with an impressive, colorful 5-page splash that explained client's story more fully.
Copy Details
"You write with wit, intelligence, style, power and flair. Regardless of the time constraints we have to deal with, I have never been disappointed. You always come through with copywriting that is powerful, insightful, and strategically correct."
"Randy is amazing! Our four departments totally rely on him at this point. He gets the big picture objectives and fills in all the small details. And the best part is that he consistently catches things about our industry that even we miss. As a result, he greatly enhances everything our company puts out in literature form. As our company continues to grow, each new employee is amazed at what he does. As the CEO, I personally vouch for Randy, and strongly encourage anyone needing a writer to work with him."
"Awesome work, oh great wordsmith! It's fun brainstorming with you, and you've provided some great insights. When you write site copy it's in good hands... thanks a million!"
"Randy Rensch gets the job done, from traditional advertising copywriting to the right UX. Give him a call."
"Congratulations to you, Randy! I must say I really appreciate your way of understanding things and suggesting the best possible solution. The feedback was very good and they have changed very, very little. This is a great sign. Your comments and suggestions are most welcome - thank you very much!"
